Hotel completes refurb

THE owners of a Cumbria hotel have completed a £400,000 refurbishment programme.

The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) supported the renovation work at the Dale Lodge Hotel in Grasmere.

The latest upgrade involved renovating an outbuilding to create four additional bedrooms.

Since acquiring the hotel four years ago Brian and Gillian Roberts have fully refurbished the premises. The couple now plan to construct their own microbrewery at the site.

Mr Roberts said: “When we bought the hotel four years ago our main aim was to carry out a full refurbishment that would enhance the Georgian features of the hotel whilst creating a modern and stylish interior.”

RBS’s commercial banking office in Kendal funded the work.
