Bolton to see The Light

THE Light Cinemas has signed up to operate a planned nine-screen cinema at Bolton’s Market Place Shopping Centre.
Landlord Moorgarth, which bought the centre for around £20m from the administrators of previous owner Agora last year, is investing £15m in the cinema and 30,000 sq ft of restaurant space.
The cinema was approved by planners in the town last month.
Moorgarth chief executive Tim Vaughan said: “We’re thrilled to have been given the go-ahead to begin work on Market Place’s new addition, a state-of-the-art cinema.
“A strong partnership with The Light Cinemas will add to the reinvigoration of the centre and provide a unique viewing experience for the people of Bolton and visitors to the centre from further afield.”
He added: “The addition of a cinema together with a range of very exciting food operators will greatly benefit Market Place and Bolton town centre as a whole.”
