Appointments: Bentley appoints Stewart; PwC gets new corporate finance partner; New recruits at BCL and Irwin Mitchell

LUXURY car manufacturer Bentley Motors has appointed Alasdair Stewart as the new board member for sales and marketing.
Mr Stewart rejoins Crewe-based Bentley after a six-year absence.
During that time, he undertook roles within both the Volkswagen Group and, most recently, as board member for sales, marketing and customer service for Bugatti based in Molsheim, France.
Mr Stewart succeeds Stuart McCullough who has left the business by mutual consent.

THE accountancy firm PricewaterhouseCoopers has appointed Andy Parker to its North West corporate finance practice from the firm’s East Midlands office.
Andy’s role will be as a partner in the firm’s Northern corporate finance team based in the North West, covering Manchester and Liverpool, with a focus on middle market companies and transactions.
He has been with PwC since 1996 and has over 15 years’ experience in corporate finance, advising on M&A transactions, management and institutional buy-outs, strategic reviews and corporate restructurings and with a strong interest in the healthcare sector.
He said: “I am really looking forward to moving to Manchester which is an exciting and dynamic market place from which I expect to be able to generate a strong deal flow.”

MANCHESTER-based legal recruitment firm BCL Legal has made two strategic additions to its teams in both the Greater Manchester and Yorkshire regions with the appointments of Paul Warburton – formerly a solicitor at Nexus – and Satnaam Kaur as consultants.
Paul, 33, joins BCL’s private practice department after working for 11 years as an insolvency and commercial litigation solicitor in the city. As well as Nexus, he has also held positions at Wacks Caller and Hill Dickinson. His new role will be to place legal professional at all levels across both corporate and commercial disciplines in Manchester.
Satnaam, 22, graduated with a degree in Law with Business from the University of Birmingham last year. During her time at university, she took part in various work placements at a number of law firms within their employment, criminal and insurance departments. Satnaam focuses on the recruitment of solicitors and paralegals across Yorkshire as well as Lincolnshire and Humberside.
Paul said: “I really enjoyed my time working as a solicitor but I’ve always been attracted to the recruitment market. I’ve had dealings with BCL Legal throughout my career so I can’t wait to get stuck in and use my own knowledge of the legal market to full effect. Greater Manchester and the whole of the North West is a buoyant region so it will be fantastic to grow my network and add real value to the business.”

LAW firm Irwin Mitchell has recruited a road collision investigator to assist in its work with victims of road accidents.
Chris Noblett, 49, from Chorley, joins the firm with more than 20 years experience of working in road traffic roles for GMP (Greater Manchester Police), six being spent as senior forensic collision investigator.
Previously Chris was a sergeant at Wigan and Bolton road policing units for 14 years.
