£2.2m contract win for Bardsley

BARDSLEY Construction has secured a £2.2m contract for The Blue Coat School in Oldham.

The firm, based in Dukinfield, is building a 17,000 sq ft two-storey extension to provide additional teaching and classroom space at the secondary school.

The project should be finished by July ahead of the new school year in September.

Procurement director Ged Rooney said: “Winning contracts such as that for The Blue Coat School Oldham is further evidence of Bardsley continuing to benefit from its hard-earned reputation for working effectively with the public sector via partnerships with education bodies, local authorities, housing associations and health authorities.”

Bardsley has won a number of education contracts in recent years including four contracts with Blackburn College worth  £35.2m, including the ongoing construction of a £3.9m Regional Automotive Technology Hub, and a recently completed £2.9m at Wigan & Leigh College.
