GVA and CBRE appointed to market Liverpool Waters

AGENTS GVA and CBRE have been appointed as joint letting agents to market Peel’s waterfront regeneration scheme, Liverpool Waters.

Peel has planning approval for the £5.5bn scheme that will seek to transform 60 hectares of docklands into an 18 million sq ft mixed use area.

David Sayer of GVA said: “Liverpool Waters represents the city region’s most important regeneration project. As the largest property consultancy in Liverpool, we can add real value to the marketing of this important regeneration scheme and are excited to be a part of a project which will have a significant impact on the local economy and Liverpool’s standing as global business destination. We look forward to working with Peel to play our part in bringing this ambitious project to fruition over the coming years.”

Mark Worthington of CBRE, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have been appointed to advise Peel on such a prestigious project. Liverpool Waters is a game changer for the city and presents a unique opportunity to attract international investment and global businesses to Liverpool.”

Peel director Lindsey Ashworth said: “It’s taken many years to get through a very complicated planning system but by working very closely with the people of Liverpool, the city council and many others who have had the best interests of Liverpool at heart, we have got to a point where we are at the end of the beginning. It has thoroughly tested Peel’s slogan of determination, perseverance and patience. There is no denying that it’s going to be tough to get something started on site for all sorts of reasons, but we are making every effort with a top class team.”
