Bedding firm Raymat expands

A FAMILY run bedding business has bought a 15,000 sq ft neighbouring building to expand its business.

Raymat Quilts and Textiles has bought the site in Bridgefield Street, Radcliffe with a six-figure loan from NatWest.

Established in 1997, the firm sells a range of bedding including beds, duvets, pillows and bed linen, and mattresses.

Owner Qasim Ali said: “We have been searching, sourcing and importing for a very long time, and trading for even longer. Although we began from very humble beginnings we are now one of the UK’s largest bedding importers. We provide customers with a bit of luxury because that is what you want when you go to sleep at night.

“We are creating new jobs with the expansion and are looking to employ a digital marketing expert so we can improve our presence online and reach customers that way.”
