Cobra UK quits Sale for East Lancs

COBRA UK, the stolen vehicle tracking specialist, is moving its head office from Sale to a building it has bought in Burnley.

It has also taken a five-year lease on an 11,000 sq ft warehousing and office facility at Shadsworth Business Park, Blackburn.

The business, part of the Italian Cobra Group, has not said how many jobs will be affected by the move.

The head office roles are moving from Orbit Developments’ Crossgate House to a 9,500 sq ft alarm receiving centre, previously operated by Chubb, at Network 65 Business Park in Burnley which Cobra acquired last year.

Cobra was advised by Andy Backhouse, associate director for industrial and logistics at Colliers in Manchester. Blackburn-based chartered surveyors Trevor Dawson acted for landlord Steelacre 2.

Finance director Sue Packer said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Andy who provided professional and pragmatic help throughout the acquisition of both properties and Cobra is now looking forward to relocating its entire business to the M65 corridor in the near future.”
