Franklins opens second Manchester deli

LIVERPOOL-based hospitality firm Franklins is to open its second Manchester deli at Spinningfields today.

The firm said that it has made a £130,000 in the new 1,000 sq ft nit and was creating 10 new jobs at the site. Its first Manchester deli opened at the former Coffee Republic site in July and founder Adam Franklin said that he expects to open three more sites – at Stockport, Leeds and Sheffield – within the next 12 months.

“Manchester has long represented a key marker for the growth of our business and we are delighted to be launching our second store in the city,” he said.
“Since launching the deli concept in Liverpool last December, we have grown our operation to four outlets, and with no bank borrowings we are well positioned to maintain our rapid growth rate.”

The firm is claiming to offer the city’s “best bacon butty” and that it would only use locally-sourced ingredients.

“We’re confident that our customers will appreciate and enjoy the difference.”
