Bernstein joins in at IFB 2014

THE International Festival for Business will launch one of its key events today, the Global Economic Forum.

The two-day affair will bring together politicians and business leaders.

The bill includes: Sir Michael Rake, chairman of BT; Mark Cliffe, chief economist of ING Group; Lord Heseltine; Nikola Gruevski, prime minister of Macedonia; William Bell Sr, Mayor of Birmingham, Alabama; and Sir Howard Bernstein, the chief executive of Manchester City Council.

There will be around 30 speakers in all, discussing international business and investment opportunities.

Liverpool mayor Joe Anderson, said: “We now live in a truly international economy. IFB 2014 is the place for people to establish and develop international business connections and for the global business community to discuss the best ways to create sustainable economic growth to secure our future prosperity.”
