Manchester office block sold for £21m

ST James’ House, a refurbished 1960s office block in Manchester city centre, has been sold for around £21m.
The British Airways Pension Fund has acquired the building from a private investor, believed to be Altrincham-based Stephen Elias.
The Charlotte Street block has around 78,000 sq ft and was remodelled about nine years ago.
The pension fund is understood to be planning an investment programme to make further improvements.
JLL and WHR marketed the building and OBI acted for the pension fund.
