Seneca buys Yorkshire interiors firm
INVESTMENT house Seneca Partners has backed a management buyout at a Yorkshire commercial interiors firm.
It has taken a majority stake in Dewsbury-based H Peel & Sons which has been sold by Martin Peel who took over from his father.
The business specialises in the design of interiors for major pub retailers, universities, hotels, schools, and care homes.
Managers Dominic Brogan and Andrew Pollock have also invested alongside Seneca and Mr Peel will stay on as a consultant.
He said: “My colleagues, Andrew and Dominic, are very experienced and capable people. I am confident the company will prosper under their stewardship.”
Castle Square Corporate Finance in Sheffield was appointed to advise Mr Peel on potential exits and find an investor.
Kevan Shaw, of Castle Square, said: “H Peel has experienced another strong trading year and this is testimony to the quality service which the company offers in its chosen market place. I am delighted to have advised on this transaction and I am pleased to see the existing management team being given the opportunity to take the company forward alongside Seneca as investors.”
Legal and taxation advice was provided by Adrian Hackett and his team at Freeths solicitors.
