Shepherd wins place on major works panel

SHEPHERD Construction, the national firm with an office in Wythenshawe, has been appointed to the North West Construction Hub (NWCH) High Value Framework, which will deliver public sector projects with a total value of up to £1bn over the next four years.
Shepherd is one of seven contractors appointed to the NWCH, which will be used on schemes worth more than £9m for public sector clients including local authorities, further education establishments, and the health sector across the region.
Mark Pettit, pre -construction director at Shepherd said: “Being appointed to the North West Construction Hub reflects our ability to design and deliver world-class construction projects through innovation and collaboration.
“The Framework will ensure that partnering forms a key factor in the region’s strategic procurement policy, and by appointment, will enable Shepherd Construction to enhance the delivery of the hub’s construction activity across the North West.
“We look forward to working in partnership with public sector organisations across the region to design and deliver a shared vision of excellence in North West public sector construction.”
Last year Shepherd was the main contractor on the £50m upgrade and of Liverpool Central Library under a PFI scheme.
