Appointments: New partner for Leigh Day & more

CLARE Campbell, an expert in tavel-related claims,  has joined the Manchester office of personal injury law firm Leigh Day as a partner.

A graduate of Manchester Metropolitan University, she acts for holidaymakers affected by illness or injury and joins from Manchester firm Pannone, where she worked for 10 years having trained at Whittles Solicitors.

She has represented thousands of victims of holidaymakers from across the UK access compensation after being taken ill, or severely injured, as a result of inadequate health and safety standards. The money recovered on behalf of clients is often used to fund vital physical and psychological rehabilitation.

She will be based at Leigh Day’s new office at the Central Park business park.

ANDREW Thorpe has joined property firm Savills as an associate director at its Wilmslow office, where he will focus on residential property sales.

Mr Thorp said: “I was brought up in Cheshire and I’m passionate about living and working in the area. Joining an international real estate adviser like Savills, which has clients all over the world, is a challenge I’m relishing.”

B2B marketing agency Marketecture has boosted  its client services team with the appointment of two senior account managers.

The agency, based at MediaCity is on a growth spurt after a number of new business briefs from firms including DHL Supply Chain, ASCO Numatics and Dock10.

The new arrivals are Ben Spurr from Cheshire-based Chime Communications and Mike Alty from Gyro Manchester.

Max Clark, client services director at Marketecture, said: “With a string of new client wins under our belt and more and more projects coming through from retained clients, it was essential for us to find talented senior managers to allow us to maintain our high delivery standards while we plan for growth.”

ALAN Wales is to join property adviser CBRE in its North West building consultancy team as a graduate surveyor.  Currently studying at Liverpool John Moore’s University, Mr Wales undertook a work placement with CBRE in 2013.

Senior director Angela Seddon said: “Alan made a real impression during his 2013 work placement and it’s great to welcome him back into the North West team.  His appointment further demonstrates the level of market activity in this area and our commitment to delivering the best level of service to our clients.”  

He will join the firm full time after graduating in 2015.

BIRKENHEAD lighting company  Simple Lighting,  has appointed a new head of digital to maximise e-commerce revenues.  

Daniel Goodfellow, from Chester, has more than five years’ experience working in the world of e-commerce digital marketing and joins Simple Lighting from Festive Lights in Chorley.

Chris Bawden, managing director of Simple Lighting, said: “Ecommerce is a vital part of the business and we’re currently investing heavily in a new website to reflect our vision and to bring Simple Lighting bang up to date. Daniel will help to make our visions for the brand a reality and we anticipate a really successful winter period for the business.”
