Insolvent sale secures 270 jobs

AROUND 270 jobs have been saved at a Northwich cleaning and facilities management group after it was sold out of administration.
Insolvency partners at KPMG in Manchester were appointed to six companies in the BDi group on September 2.
They agreed a sale of the businesses to Leigh-based Select Security (Northwest) which will continue to honour the firm’s contracts.
BDi is based at Gadbrook Park and has an operation in Wakefield. It was owned by Ian Cooper, Geoffrey Churchman and Christopher Doran, while Select’s shareholders are Cheryl Campbell, Steven McIntyre, Robert Bentley, Gary Rimmer and Peter Littler.
Joint administrator Paul Flint said: “We are delighted to have been able to conclude a sale of the business and its assets immediately following our appointment, preserving almost 300 jobs and ensuring a continuity of service for customers.”
The companies subject to the deal are: BDi Holding Group; BDi Cleaning Services; BDi Contact Services; BDi CCTV; BDi NW; BDi Commercial Services.
