Ford returns with business mentoring and sales venture

VETERAN North West deal doer Tony Ford has stepped back into corporate life with the launch of a corporate mentoring and company sales business.
He says his new venture, Triskell, is the country’s first corporate finance house dedicated to growing, mentoring and selling entrepreneurial companies.
Ford, who set up and built Ford Campbell into one of the North West’s leading independent corporate finance businesses, says of Triskell: “We are entrepreneurs who are passionate about building up businesses. We have an affinity with entrepreneurs and our mentoring creates mutual respect and most importantly companies with maximum value and fit for the future.
“All too often the focus has been on getting a deal over the line and leaving buyers disappointed with a business that doesn’t live up to their expectations. As our name Triskell – which is derived from the Greek work Triskelion symbolising three interlocking spirals creating rotational symmetry – suggests how our three services of growing, mentoring and selling are truly interlocked. “
Based on King Street, Manchester, Triskell is working across a range of sectors with a focus on service industries, including new technology and software. It will also take a stake in early-stage technology businesses, in return for expert advice.
Ford added “We work on a risk reward basis charging only ongoing nominal fees. Instead we take an equity stake based on the growth in capital value we achieve. It is all about nurturing businesses and management teams to create industry leading companies and where our interests are wholly aligned with those of management.”
