WARRINGTON-based architecture and design firm VA Consulting has been acquired by London-based Waldeck.

WARRINGTON-based architecture and design firm VA Consulting has been acquired by London-based Waldeck.

Waldeck said the deal would boost its presence and capabilities in the North West, mainly in manufacturing, energy and utilities.
 
VA Consulting was established in 1991 as Vearncombe Associates, and specialises in heavy infrastructure, tunnelling and deep excavation. It has worked with British Nuclear Fuels, Siemens, and the North West Development Agency.
 
Waldeck will rebrand VA Consulting’s existing premises at Automation House, Newton Road which will become the 13th site in its office network. All of VA Consulting’s employees have transferred. The office will be led by Waldeck director Andrew Dent.

We pride ourselves in already playing an active role in supporting some of the world’s biggest nuclear energy investments and we look to expanding this capability across the North West and Cumbria.”

The terms of the deal were not disclosed.
