Appointments: WHR; OBI; Mint Bridging; Excello

COMMERCIAL agent WHR Property has promoted Oliver Rowe to associate director.  

Rowe, who works with Mark Williams and Dan Crossley in the investment department, has been with WHR for four years.

The Manchester-based firm has just celebrated its tenth anniversary and employs 28 people.  

Mark Williams said: “Oliver’s promotion is in recognition of his achievements and consistent hard work. He has a strong understanding of the investment market and is a valuable member of our team working closely with Dan and myself.

“As a team we have been involved in some of the most significant investment deals that Manchester has seen this year including the recent sale of Ship Canal House for £26m and St James’s House for £21m and are set to complete on several other deals before the end of the year.”

OBI Property has appointed Mike Millward as lead building surveyor working alongside director Dominic Horridge, and Joe Weilding and James Bostock.

Millward, a qualified chartered surveyor, has joined the commercial property agent following eight years with Savills where he was an associate building surveyor. 

He has experience in building consultancy and project management and has joined OBI Property to assist with the delivery of over £15m worth of project work.

Director Dominic Horridge said: “It is fantastic to have Mike on board. OBI Property’s building consultancy team is going from strength to strength and we are working on some very exciting schemes with a number of great clients throughout the UK.”

ALTRINCHAM-based lender Mint Bridging has appointed Gaynor McCormick as head of legal.

McCormick was previously at Bridgebank Capital and has worked in the property teams of Cantor Law and Eversheds.

Mint is a short term bridging lender specializing in loans of £75,000 to £1m for up to 12 months.

McCormick said: “I am excited at the prospect of becoming part of such an ambitious company as Mint at a particularly important point in its development.”

LIVERPOOL-based Excello Law has appointed former Hill Dickinson partner Glyn Dale-Jones to its team.

His career spans 35 years acting for FTSE 100 companies, multi-nationals, NHS trusts and SMEs.

Starting out at Lace Mawer (now Berrymans Lace Mawer), he moved to Kruger Tissue as group general counsel and company secretary.

At Excello, Dale-Jones will continue to work with a range of businesses and accountants on commercial and corporate matters.
