Stephensons in Deva Centre move

LAW firm Stephensons is moving out of its Manchester office after agreeing a deal at the nearby Deva Centre in Salford.

The firm is leaving City Wharf, Bridge Street, which is earmarked for redevelopment as part of the English Cities Fund’s New Bailey plans. Neighbouring Ralli Courts has already been demolished to make way for a 120,000 sq ft office block.

Next month Stephensons is moving 30 staff who work primarily on criminal and family cases to a 5,000 sq ft office on a five-year lease at the former brewery which is owned by Highcross.

Mike Devlin, managing partner of the family team, said: “We are committed to expanding our services in Manchester and the surrounds and have developed a first class, award-winning family law service over many years in the city. Being close to our clients and the Court was therefore an important part of our decision when selecting our new home.”

The firm, which has its head office in Leigh, was advised by Andrew Frazer of Scott Frazer Property Consultants in Manchester. It has a network of offices in locations such as London, Altrincham, Bolton, Wigan, and St Helens.
