Power generators business snapped up

A CHESHIRE business which supplies power generators to construction and utility firms and to organisers of outdoor events such as music and food festivals, has been snapped up by industrial giant Aggreko.

Financial terms of the deal for Frodsham-based Golden Triangle Generators, were not disclosed. The company has customers throughout Merseyside, Cheshire and North Wales and also has depots in Burntwood Staffordshire and  Rotherham in Yorkshire.

Dan Ibbetson, managing director of Aggreko UK said: “During 26 years of operations, GTG has developed a loyal customer base throughout the North West of England and North Wales. Its reputation for delivering a high-quality product via an experienced and professional team makes GTG a natural fit with Aggreko.

“GTG maintains very close relationships with its customers and are well known for delivering excellent customer service. They run a high-quality fleet and employ a strong team throughout their operations.”

Mr Ibbetson said Aggreko has been looking to expand its network of 18 service centre with the North West seen as an area for growth.

He added: “The reputation and customer network GTG has built across the region offers Aggreko a solid foundation from which to further develop our business.

“We will combine the experience, local knowledge and customer relationships of GTG with the global capability and capacity of the world’s leading supplier of rental power and temperature control solutions.”
