Appointments: Barron joins WHR as partner & more

RUPERT Barron has joined Manchester property consultancy, WHR as partner responsible for the firm’s office agency team.  

Barron, who has worked in the North West office market for almost 25 years latterly with Colliers, will be working closely with Peter Skelton who joined as a development advisor in March.

He said: “I am very much looking forward to joining the team at WHR.  The practice has built a strong reputation within the North West market and boasts an enviable client list.  I am excited about working with the experienced teams there including the investment and industrial departments, which are involved in some of the region’s most high profile schemes and deals.”

BUSINESS advisers and accountants Baker Tilly has appointed Jim Muir as head of financial services.

In his role, Jim will work with a team of experts supporting businesses within the financial services sector in areas such as audit, risk management, tax and regulatory compliance as well as consulting on business performance improvement.

He will also work closely with firms from international clients within member firm RSM on the global Financial Services capabilities and clients of the network.

NORTH West construction safety consultancy Innov8 has appointed David Jones as the new director of site safety services.

Jones, a former Royal Marine and Royal Air Force professional, has nearly 10 years’ experience in the health and safety sector including roles at Travis Perkins, Firstark and consultancy work with Marshside, Lilly and Innospec.

Innov8 managing director Alan Robson said: “The appointment of David Jones will help us to further penetrate the site safety services market. He brings strong experience and leadership qualities to the team. Dave has broad knowledge and key skills in risk management, planning and control procedures.”

CHESHIRE-based C&C Catering Equipment has boosted its team with the addition of Glen Crossland as marketing manager

Mr Crossland has spent the last four-and-half years working for Dawson Foodservice Equipment, playing a key part in its growth.
