THE boss of Lloyds Bank, Antonio Horta-Osorio, will be in Liverpool today visiting a contact centre in Speke and several branches.

He will also meet clients at a business breakfast.

On Friday Barclays’ chief executive Anthony Jenkins was in Manchester at the launch of the Manchester Escalator which will mentor start-ups.

In a statement Mr Horta-Osorio said: “Liverpool is home to many of the UK’s brightest start-ups right through to our global corporate champions.

“In my role, I have the pleasure of meeting many of our business customers and I’m always struck by the ingenuity, commitment and passion these businesses have and the role they are playing in the economic recovery.”
