Appointments: TLT; New CEO for NES Global Talent; Capital & Regional & more

LAW firm TLT has named IP litigation partner Graeme Orchison as head of is Manchester office.

One of the founding partners of TLT’s Manchester operation in summer 2013, Mr Orchison was previously with DLA Piper.
 
He said: “From a standing start, we’ve made a significant impact on the Manchester market. In just over a year, we’ve built a 60+ strong team with some major lateral partner hires, attracted by our collaborative and entrepreneurial approach.”

Managing partner, David Pester added: “We’ve grown considerably in the last few years, deepening expertise across our UK-wide advisory, transactional and disputes service lines. Our location heads ensure we deliver those services consistently and effectively to our clients wherever they access them.”

NES Global Talent, the specialist engineering and technical recruiter has appointed Tig Gilliam as chief executive to lead the company with plans to drive new business and grow its global footprint.

With a successful career spanning more than 25 years, Tig previously worked as operating partner at AEA Investors LP, which bought NES Global Talent in 2012. Prior to that he was CEO of Adecco Group North America and has previously held senior management roles at IBM, PwC and Price Waterhouse.  Gilliam has been Interim CEO of NES Global Talent since May.

NES Global Talent, which has a global network of more than 40 offices across 28 countries, has achieved record growth and profits again in its fiscal year ended 31st October 2014.

DEVELOPER Capital & Centric has promoted Louise Pearson to development director.

Louise joined Capital & Centric shortly after its formation in November 2011 as development manager and runs schemes such as the Littlewoods ‘Bunker’ building on Edge Lane,  12 Tithebarn Street in Liverpool and Digital Village in Salford.

The announcement comes after the recruitment of Michelle Rothwell, who will join in January from CBRE, and Anna Dooley who joined from Knight Frank in November 2013.

Director Adam Higgins said: “Capital & Centric, since its formation in 2011, has been through rapid growth and Louise has supported the company admirably through that growth and we recognise her valuable contribution as we enter a new and exciting phase for the company.

“We’re also looking forward to welcoming Michelle Rothwell to our team in January. The schemes that we’re set to deliver in the coming months means we’ll be spending £1m per week on construction.”
