NES buys again in Norway

NES Global Talent, the international oil and gas manpower services company, has bought a second business in Norway.

The Altrincham firm has acquired Energy People which provides advice and staff to the energy industry.

It follows NES’ acquisition of engineering consultancy RC Consultants in August.

The company said the latest deal will strengthen its market position in the region. Energy People, headquartered in Sandnes, Norway, was established by the previous management team of RCC. Both Energy People and RCC will rebrand as NES Global Talent.

Steve Buckley, NES’ chief financial officer, said: “Energy People is well respected by the Norwegian energy industry. The management team is extremely strong and we are looking forward to welcoming the company’s employees on board and working together to become the leading manpower solutions provider in Norway.”

Terje Pedersen, managing director of Energy People, said: “The merger of Energy People and NES Global Talent creates a powerful local engineering consultancy and manpower service provider. We now have the capacity to offer our clients a unique service proposition drawing upon the resources of over 40 offices around the world.”

The value of the deal was not disclosed.
