Apartments plan for Wellington Buildings

A LONDON developer is planning to turn the Wellington Buildings in Liverpool’s Strand into apartments.
The 58,000 sq ft office block was listed for an Eddisons auction on December 9 but it was sold beforehand from a guide price of £1.5m-£2m.
The part-let property generates annual income of £48,850 and was sold by law of property act receivers.
A London-based company called Seven Capital (The Strand) has now submitted a planning application to convert the building into apartments.
The sole director of the newly incorporated business is Balbinder Singh Sohal, chairman and chief executive of Mayfair-based Seven Capital.
Seven is active in Birmingham and earlier in the year acquired three sites in the city where it is planning around 1,000 apartments.
No one at Seven could be reached for comment.
