IT firm to accelerate sales growth

A BUSINESS which provides IT infrastructure solutions to customers has moved into new premises following a six-figure funding deal and in on target to achieve a £15m turnover this year.

R-Com Consulting has moved into new state-of-the-art premises in Stockport as part of a new arrangement with NatWest aimed at supporting the firm’s business growth opportunities.

R-Com Consulting is an independent provider of IT software, hardware, IT training and consultancy services with a strong portfolio of products based around virtualisation.

Established in 1996, R-Com Consulting provides customers with IT infrastructure services such as server installation, storage solutions and networking across a niche range of vendors, including VMWare, Microsoft and Trend Micro to name a few.

Other services provided by the company include IT infrastructure managed support services and IT Training.

R-Com Consulting began its partnership with VMware five years ago – a networking system aimed at improving efficiency and reducing costs. The virtualisation solutions for its clients became the right proposal for many customers, and R-Com saw its customer base in the UK and Middle East grow.

Profits also increased – in 2010 R-Com Consulting exceeded the £1 million turnover mark, and in 2013 this figure rose to £7.8 million. R-Com Consulting is on track to achieve a £15 million turnover in 2015, with £9 million revenue expected.

The business was recently included in The Sunday Times Hiscox Tech Track 100 league table which ranks Britain’s 100 private tech (TMT) companies with the fastest-growing sales over the latest three years.  After entering the table for the second consecutive time, 2014 saw them reach 34 on the table.

R-Com Consulting’s new premises provide a customer-facing facility complete with training facilities and large meeting rooms for small events and conferences. The business also has the space to expand in the future.

Ayaz Rathore, of R-Com Consulting, said: “The business has grown rapidly in the last five years as more businesses become reliant on a solid IT infrastructure. We have a strong customer base in the UK but we are bringing in new customers in the Middle East and Egypt.

“We purchased the new premises as we had outgrown our previous unit in Tameside. The new premises will support our growth aspirations and also provide space for training for our customers.”
