Appointments: Suttons; Forbes; Lloyds & more

SUTTONS Group, the Cheshire-based international logistics and supply chain specialists has appointed Steve Lonsdale as regional director for the Americas.

Moving from his previous role within Suttons as director of network operations, Lonsdale is now based at Suttons’ offices in  and will be responsible for leading the company’s development and broadening the number of services it provides in the Americas.
 
He has more than 25 years’ experience in tank container logistics and supply chain, during which he has held a number of key senior operational and sales focused roles within the company.

Graeme Rooney, international managing director at Suttons said: “Steve has proved to us time and time again that he has the knowledge and experience to successfully lead a large team of logistics professionals to deliver added value and operational excellence to our customers.

LAW firm Slater Heelis, has promoted employment lawyer Sarah Calderwood to partner.

LLOYDS Bank Commercial Finance has appointed Paul Roylance to a new role with responsibility for sourcing new business from customers with a turnover of between £10m to £25m in Greater Manchester.

Regional manager Roylance has worked for Lloyds Bank Commercial Finance for more than 27 years.

In his new role, which is based out of Lloyds’ regional office in Stretford, he is charged with sourcing new commercial finance business including asset based lending such as invoice finance, stock funding and plant and machinery funding.

He said: “Lloyds offers a full range of alternative funding sources to help businesses use the equity tied up in their assets to invest in their long-term futures.”

MONEYWAY, the motor finance arm of AIM-listed Secure Trust Bank, is targeting an ambitious growth strategy following the appointment of Gary Agar as national broker Manager based in the North West.

In his role, Agar will be responsible for developing Soluhull-based  Moneyway’s network of broker relationships across the UK. He joins from Lookers Plc, where he was regional finance and insurance business development manager, and has three decades’ experience in the motor industry, including a position at Close Brothers Motor Finance.

FORBES Solicitors has appointed Patricia Prescott as head of its wills, probate, tax and trusts department.

Based at Forbes’ Preston office, Prescott is a member of the Society of Trust & Estate Practitioners (STEP) and specialises in wills, probate, inheritance tax, estate planning, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection and elderly client issues.
