Rowan Group on recruitment drive

EXECUTIVE recruitment firm, Rowan Group says it will take on a up to 10 more staff  after a “watershed year” for investment and revenue growth.

The Manchester-based consultancy, which is backed by venture capital firm EV, topped its 2014 target of £1m and is targeting further progress this year.

During 2014, the company, which operates through its Rowan Finance (senior finance) and Rowan Partners  (board level) divisions, invested £250,000 in a new Spinningfields operation, opened a second office in Chorley, Lancashire and doubled the size of its team to 14.

In the same timescale it placed more than 85 professionals, of which 30 joined SMEs and private equity backed businesses including DataCentred, Palletower, Verna Group and Worldwide Recruitment Solutions (WRS).

Within the appointments Rowan Finance, which specialises in senior finance professionals, placed 14 finance directors.

Paul Waite, director at Rowan Finance, said: “This has been a watershed year in the growth of Rowan Group, we set very tough targets, all of which have been exceeded in terms of turnover, premises and staff. The next phase of the development has already begun in earnest, these are exciting times.”
