Plans for top end apartment block

A BLUEPRINT for an up market apartment block in Manchester city centre are to be submitted for full planning approval soon.

Developer Brigantes is submitting a scheme for a 37-storey building on Whitworth Street West – next to the City Road Inn – for a development including 330 apartments, a bar, library, gym and rooftop garden. The scheme is Manchester’s first for private rent  (PRS).

Designed by Manchester’s 5Plus Architects the proposal is due to go before Manchester City Council’s planning committee on April 1.

The plans also include the demolition of a warehouse which currently occupies the site.
