CBRE has expanded its North West building consultancy team with a trio of appointments which will take its headcount up to 24.

Through the appointment of a senior property figurehead, the team now offers an in-house QS service.

Steve Williamson has been appointed as a director in Manchester, Dylan Evans as a senior surveyor in Liverpool and Nora Jarauta as a CAD/ workplace designer in the Manchester office.

Williamson joins from Manchester City Council where he was capital programmes and property commercial leader in charge of up to 30 commercial managers.

Evans worked previously at Capita Property and Infrastructure.

Jarauta’s new role will involve strengthening the occupier services team and focusing on new office fit-out projects , such as New Balance’s European HQ in Birchwood.

SPECIALIST renewables recruitment company Hyperion Executive Search has appointed a new member to its team.

Ross Hoare has joined Liverpool-headquartered Hyperion Executive Search as associate partner, after more than six years working in renewable energy project management and procurement for a leading installer.

Hyperion was launched last year by David Hunt with the objective of matching the sector’s most successful businesses with the best talent. Unlike many other recruiters, Hyperion’s complete focus is on the renewables sector.

Hyperion acts for clients and candidates across a comprehensive range of renewable energy sub-sectors including solar PV, solar thermal, heat pumps, biomass, wind turbines and fuel cells.

Specific disciplines the firm recruits for include general and senior management, sales and business development, operations and logistics, marketing, finance and asset management, design and installation at a senior level.

ALTRINCHAM law firm McHale and Co has grown its personal injury team ith the appointment of father and son Malcolm and Adam Horner.

Malcolm, 55, will lead the  department, which now has seven staff.  He has been a PI lawyer for 30 years and is a fellow of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. He was previously with Pannone, Rowlands and Linder Myers, while Adam trained at Linder Myers.

Andrew McHale, managing partner, said: “We have been quietly building the personal injury department in recent years, but we have been determined to develop a practice which is focused on supporting genuinely deserving claims – we will not take on ‘fast-result’ claims, many of which completely fail the client.

EXPERIENCED digital media professional Craig Johnson has joined Fusionworkshop as a director to lead its new North West operation in Manchester.

The web development company plans to create close to 40 jobs.

Johnson has previously worked for Rippleffect, Cheetham-Bell JWT, Guardian Media Group and CN Group. He is also an Associate Lecturer with Manchester Metropolitan University.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining Fusionworkshop at this very exciting time. The business has experienced impressive growth and a reputation for great work. It will be a great asset to the digital sector in the North West.”
