Fragrance Shop raises £360,000 for seriously ill children

INDEPENDENT retailer The Fragrance Shop has raised £360,000 for its charity partner Rays of Sunshine which grants the wishes of seriously ill children.

The Trafford Park-based company, which has three outlets in Greater Manchester, began fundraising in October 2012 alongside its moto ‘Spray a little Happiness’.

To date 275 magical wishes have been granted for seriously ill children throughout the UK.

These have included meet and greets, private performance and  fragrance gifting from One Direction, VIP attendance to the launch of celebrity fragrances along with hospital ward happiness days, trips to Disney World and granting one child’s wish to be a superhero for the day.

Outlets of The Fragrance Shop donate 5p from every transaction to Rays of Sunshine. Customers who pay via chip and pin in store are also able to match the donation through Pennies digital charity box.

Fragrance Shop chief executive Sanjay Vadera said: “I’m delighted that us as a business, along with our customers, have managed to raise over £360,000 for Rays of Sunshine.”
