Appointments: Landwood; Bromleys & more

HELEN Lee has been promoted to director at Landwood Group, the chartered surveying, asset management and auctioneers’ firm.

Lee, who joined Landwood Group from Eddisons in 2013, specialises in property valuation, management and disposal. She is based at Landwood’s Manchester office on Peter Street.

After completing a law degree, she joined Eddisons where she also took a postgraduate course in surveying and subsequently qualified as a chartered surveyor.

HILL Dickinson, has bolstered its corporate team with the appointment of tax lawyer Jade Chan.

Working across the national firm’s Liverpool and Manchester offices and joining from DWF, Chan joins the 31 -strong corporate team as associate.

BROMLEYS, the Ashton-under-Lyne based law firm, has strengthened its ranks with a hat-trick of appointments.

Judy Bell, a former partner at the Manchester office of Freeths, has joined the family department, while Rachael Barrett and Kate Fletcher have boosted the firm’s Court of Protection and wills, probate and trusts teams respectively.

Bell said: “Bromleys is a highly-respected practice with a growing presence, and I am looking forward to strengthening and building on its reputation for successfully steering clients through emotionally-challenging times and protecting their financial position.”

Legal executive Barrett previously spent nine years working in Manchester city centre, initially at Pannone and then at Slater & Gordon. Kate Fletcher, also a legal executive, has joined from Mills & Reeve. The new arrivals take staff numbers at Bromleys to 46.

Senior partner Mark Hirst said: “We anticipate further recruitment in the coming months in line with our expansion plans.”

LANCASHIRE private medical insurance company Chase Templeton has hired Gillian Adams to lead its fast-growing SME department.

Adams spent seven-and-a-half years with Groupama Healthcare and then Simplyhealth when it acquired the insurer in 2012. There she was responsible for managing key accounts, developing new and existing business as well as coaching and mentoring account managers.

At the Darwen-based firm she will report directly to commercial director Richard Holden and lead a team of 12 specialist company medical and employee benefits consultants. She will also oversee the intermediary’s recently established internal telemarketing team.

Her appointment is strategically important for Chase Templeton as it is focused on growing business in the SME space.
