New office is just tickety-boo

TICKETMASTER UK has launched its new Manchester office in the Northern Quarter and the home to 350 employees.

The company’s call centre, customer service, IT and HR services departments have taken residence in Grade II listed  Sevendale House on Dale Street after leaving its previous site on nearby Lever Street.

From there Tickemaster is continuing to service some the most high profile events from top concerts, football matches and large scale festivals like the Rugby World Cup and has been operating from the city for 13 years.

Owned by US company Live Nation Entertainment, Tickemaster also specialises in venues and artist management, running the affairs of stars like Madonna and Jay Z. And it run ticketing services in 19 different countries.

The fit-out and design has been carried out by Manchester-based Rische Group following a competitive tender process and includes decoration by the city’s renowned graffiti artist Kelzo.

Vice-president of Ticketmaster, customer experience, based in Manchester, Lisa Cobham, said the centre was its largest arm for client engagement outside London.

“We provide a full service solution,” she said. “Although we operate as a call centre, only 6% of our tickets sold by phone now, whereas 13 years ago it was 55%.

“The office was designed with fun, vibrancy and colour in mind, with touches of the local area through and employees involved from the beginning.”

Managing director of Ticketmaster UK Andrew Parsons said: “Manchester is an incredibly important centre for us. Deciding to invest in Sevendale House is testament to this.

“We waqnt to make sure our employees have a great space to work in so they can feel comfortable and have fun at work.

“The office has been designed to fit our needs while injecting something a little bit different into office life.”

Managing director of Rische Group Martyn Richards said: “We set out to create a new office that would set6 the standard for all future occupiers within the building.

“We’re extremely proud of how hard everyone has worked between Rische, Ticketmaster and the local authority to make sure the office truly reflects the Grade II kusted orioerty;s unique heritage and – just as importantly – provides modern inspiration using the iconic Tickemaster brand to create a motivational environment for employees to work in.”

One of the previous occupants of the building was the Slater Menswear drapery business.
