SALFORD-based groundwork construction services specialist DWM Plant has announced plans to focus on long term growth as a result of a new relationship with The Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS).
DWM Plant is keen to stabilise operations and increase its turnover after recording a £5.5m turnover in 2014.
DWM Plant has secured a £150,000 funding deal with the bank, which has been designed to support cash flow during this period of growth as the company has its sights on increasing its turnover this year. The company has also switched all of its banking facilities to RBS.
Established in 2003, DWM Plant provides foundation installation, steel intensive basements, drainage installation and reinforced concrete structure or slabs.
It is are also a specialists in pipeline construction, attenuation tank installation, heavy installation and bulk excavation and site clearance works.
The company also specialises in the operated plant sector of the market, supplying operated plant to the petro chemical, industrial, pipeline, retail and residential sectors of the construction industry.
David McGregor, managing director of DWM Plant said: “The construction industry in the North West is growing and as a result the business is expanding. This is fantastic news for us and as a result I am focussed on ensuring that the business is stable so that we can make the most of any opportunities that arise.”

A LANCASHIRE company which has developed an innovative software platform for the aerospace and advanced manufacturing sectors is set to expand with help from a £60,000 loan from Lancashire’s County Council’s Rosebud Finance.
Valuechain.com provides software to help companies manage their supply chain and improve performance. The company, which is based in Preston, has won multiple innovation grants to help develop its products and is now working with clients including Bentley Motors and Bombardier Aerospace.
The Rosebud funding will allow it to deliver its current projects and create ten more jobs within the next three years.
Valuechain.com was set up in 2010 by Tom Dawes and Haifeng Guo who met as PhD students at the University of Liverpool. Tom, a serial entrepreneur with 17 years’ experience in the aerospace sector, was involved in the 2012 takeover of Preston-based Redthorn to create the DNA Agile Group. He will now focus on developing Valuechain.com but will continue to collaborate with DNA Agile.

LISTED Bolton company AO.com has been named Employer of the Year at the Oracle Retail Week Awards, the retail equivalent of the Oscars.
The online white goods supplier was named winner at a glitzy ceremony t the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
The entry beat stiff competition from five finalists, which included Asda, Lidl, Pets at Home and Shop Direct. The entry was reviewed by a jury made up of influential figures and experts from the retail sector, including chief executives and president of Asda Andy Clarke, chief executive of Jigsaw Peter Ruis and House of Fraser chief executive John King.
