Future is Finite for Cheshire firm

HOME technology installation specialist Finite Solutions has acquired new premises in Cheshire to facilitate growth in the region.
The move from Salford Quays to a 1,620 sq ft high specification unit on Queen Street in Cheadle reflects confidence in the recovering residential property market and also a significant increase in demand for new home technology, the company said.
Last year Finite Solutions it reported a 15% increase in turnover to £2.1m and expects to achieve its target of a 50% increase to £3m this year.
With offices also in London, Leeds and soon to be in York, Finite ventured into the North West market two years ago and says it has experienced strong demand for high technology home solutions, particularly home cinemas.
It has increased regional turnover by 35% in the last year and completed a number of major residential and commercial projects including the penthouse at Beetham Tower.
Director Simon Mathieson said: “Cheshire is an affluent area for residential property and the market recovery indicates more active movement in property sales and investment. In particular smart home technology is becoming a must have in high value properties and we are well placed to deliver a one stop solution for often very complex installations.”
In recent years Finite Solutions has seen an increase in clients choosing to invest in “future proofing” their properties to retain value.
It continues to secure major contracts to install security, audio visual, home cinema and lighting and, in many cases, to deliver all elements for whole house integration. Finite has recently secured a £225,000 installation in Cheshire.
The UK residential custom home installation sector is now estimated to be worth around £1.07 bn according to CEDIA (Custom Electronic Design and Installation Association).
Audio visual projects still account for nearly 50% of all installations in the UK with home cinemas/media rooms taking a 21% slice and lighting control/design the second most popular at 12%.
