Appointments: Pinsent Masons; Victrex; Secure Trust Bank

LAW firm Pinsent Masons has bolstered its Manchester planning and environment team with the appointment of legal director Claire Gregory.
Gregory joins from North West Brabners where she was a partner and advised on the full range of environmental, health and safety and energy/climate change matters across a broad range of corporate, real estate projects and finance-related matters.
She has particular experience in environmental permitting, contaminated land, electricity regulation, climate change, waste management, producer responsibility for recycling and the regulation of chemicals (including REACH).

VICTREX, the listed polymers manufacturer based at Cleveleys, Lancashire has promoted Dr Martin Court, managing director of its medical business Invibio, to executive director.
Court, 53, who joined Victrex in February 2013, has deep international experience in the medical and high performance polymer industry, including with Cytec Industries, and in a number of senior roles at both ICI and UCB. He holds a doctorate in the field of surface chemistry and fracture mechanics and a BSc (Eng) degree in mineral technology from Imperial College of Science and Technology.

ALTRINCHAM-based construction company McGoff & Byrne has made a key hire in its facility management division.
The newcomer is Annie Stackhouse, from Sale, who has joined as asset and operations manager.
In her new role, the 28-year-old from Sale is responsible for the day-to-day running of the division. Reporting directly to Graham Forrester, the head of facilities services, she will oversee the planned and reactive programme of maintenance and minor works for clients including Manchester Airport Group, Cheshire East Council and Wyevale Garden Centres.

SECURE Trust Bank has announced the appointment of Graham Drew as managing director of its asset finance division as it looks to strengthen its offering to UK SMEs.
He is joined by Arthur Burton, who has been appointed as risk director for asset finance.
Both men will cover Secure Trust’s offices in Manchester, Solihull, Bristol and Bournemouth.
Drew brings more than 22 years’ experience in finance and sales, with senior roles at Shawbrook Bank, GE Capital Solutions, De Lage Landen International BV, and Credit Suisse.
Burton previously held senior positions at Shire Leasing, Close Business Finance, ING Lease UK, and EFT Finance, with over 25 years’ experience in the industry.
