Appointments: UHY; Refrigerant Solutions; Focus Management Consultants & more

ACCOUNTANTS UHY Hacker Young has announced the addition of Lee Collins to its automotive sector team in Manchester.

With a growing national sector team already, the company says Collins will add significant experience and expertise to the Manchester office offering, joining up with David Kendrick, Paul Daly and Matthew Hodgson.  

Collins has a broad background in the automotive retail market with more than 25 years’ experience. Initially working in the Prestons Group, Collins worked his way up to managing director and successfully completed an MBO of the Hillendale
Land Rover business in 2006.

In 2013 he acquired Jaguar Bolton and within 11 weeks had moved the customer service ranking from 95th to 1st nationally.He also created and ran his own marketing company, Imagered, between 2000 and 2014 and has considerable marketing experience. He subsequently sold the group to Vertu in a multi-million pound deal in 2014.

REFRIGERANT Solutions (RefSols), the Liverpool-based company which has developed a more environmentally-friendly range of refrigerant gases, has appointed John Kirkpatrick as commercial director.
 
Kirkpatrick has had a long career within the chemicals industry, initially working at ICI and most recently as technical sales manager at Mexichem on the Wirral.

His appointment follows the recent £750,000 investment in RefSols by The North West Fund for Mezzanine, managed by Enterprise Ventures.
 
Kirkpatrick’s appointment allows for the eventual retirement of RefSols’ founder, the award-winning investor John Poole, although he will continue in his role as chief executive for the immediate future.

CHESHIRE-based food and drink resourcing specialist Focus Management Consultants has expanded its senior team with a hat trick of new recruitment consultants.

Two of the team, Charlotte Britland and Lucy Mckinna-Whitby, will be based at the Bollington head office, while Daisy Dupree has joined the Dubai office.

Stephen Jones, co-founder and director at Focus, said: “The latest appointments will reaffirm our leading position as the principal recruiter in the food and drink industry.
