Appointments: McLintocks; WHR Property Consultancy; PwC;

KATIE Cosgove has been appointed as a director of McLintocks Chartered Accountants and Business Advisers.

Chartered accountant Cosgrove will be based predominently in the firm’s office on the Wirral, serving clients in Liverpool, Merseyside area and North Wales.

Her team deals with all aspects of accountancy, audit, business advisory and tax planning services.

Cosgrove, 31, is now one of seven directors at McLintocks.

She said: “I am excited to have been asked to become a director of a firm whose ethos of ‘the client comes first’ mirrors my own.”

Fellow director Paul McGerty said: “At McLintocks we are a forward thinking practice and over the past 18 months Katie has shown that her aspirations match our own.

MANCHESTER-based WHR Property Consultancy has appointed Matt Beddow as a partner to head up a new dedicated property and asset management team.

Sharon Booth and Stephen Pearson have also joined as finance manager and property and operations manager respectively.  All three previously worked at Stockford Anderson in Liverpool.

WHR has also boosted its office agency team, which is headed by Rupert Barron having recruited Mark Cook as a senior surveyor.  Cook previously worked for The Valuations Office and BNP Paribas in its office agency team.

PWC’s northern real estate staff has made two appointments to its growing practice with Anna Fairclough and Paul Holcroft joining the firm’s advisory team.

In their new roles, they will work across the firm’s Manchester and Leeds offices, providing real estate advice to corporates based in the region.

Fairclough is a chartered surveyor and joins from JLL in Amsterdam where she has spent the last 12 months as a European account manager for a global technology company, focusing on large HQ consolidations and relocations.

Paul Holcroft is also a chartered surveyor and joins from Hansteen in Yorkshire where he specialised in the asset management of industrial property across the region. Paul was also responsible for the management of the firm’s external asset management mandate with a big four UK bank.

Commenting on the appointments, David Kelly, advisory partner at PwC in Manchester said: “The appointments of Anna and Paul, two experienced surveyors, will complement our northern real estate team, and enable us to deliver a comprehensive service, across real estate structuring, advisory and tax.”
