Johnson Services performing ‘as expected’

JOHNSON Services Group has announced a satisfactory trading performance ahead of its annual meeting today.
Chairman of the Cheshire-based company, Paul Moody, said the group’s businesses have traded in line with management expectations for the first four months of the year.
Key to its progress, said Moody, was the earnings enhancing acquisition of London Linen on April 30 with the integration of the business now under way.
JSG bought London Linen – a specialist supplier of table linen and chefs’ wear to the restaurant, catering and hospitality market – in a near £70m deal.
“We remain confident in the prospects for the full year,” said Moody.
A further update is expected in a pre-close statement at the beginning of July.
