In brief: Small firms honour for Baker Tilly & more

BAKER Tilly, the accountancy firm with offices in Liverpool, Manchester, Preston and Chester, has won a top national award for services to small businesses.
The firm was named Best Accountancy Firm for Smaller Companies at the annual Finance Director’s Excellence Awards which took place in London.
The honour, which was presented to Baker Tilly for services to companies with turnovers of below £25m, was based on the responses to a satisfaction survey sent to more than 1,700 finance directors in UK firms.
Jill Jones North West managing partner said: “We place a high priority on providing excellent client care and we are absolutely delighted to win this award which recognises the hard work of all of our partners and staff right across the country.
“What’s particularly special about this award is that it’s decided on by finance directors themselves, so it’s very gratifying to get such a positive endorsement from our counterparts in industry.”
