DESIGNS by Preston-based architect Cassidy & Ashton to create new facilities at an activity centre in the Forest of Bowland have been approved

Situated within an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’ five miles north of Goosnargh, construction work on Waddecar Scout Activity Centre will begin soon.

The six-month build programme with contractor R P Tysons Construction will deliver a new single-storey toilet and shower block at the activity centre.

The completed project will provide modern toilet and shower facilities for users, with provision for both male and female leader and visitors.

A laundry room, drying room, disabled changing room and external pot wash area will also be provided.

ACTRESSS and entrepreneur Jane Asher has opened a newly renovated respite service for young people with autism in Cheadle, near Manchester, following a £210,000 transformation.

​Meridian, which is operated by The Together Trust, is a specialist accommodation, which offers short, overnight breaks to young people aged between five and 18 who have a diagnosis of autistic spectrum conditions, as well as associated challenging behaviours.
 
Asher, president of the National Autistic Society, joined parents and staff to unveil the redesigned centre which, as well as all the usual home comforts, now includes a computer room, games room and themed bedrooms  – all of which were upgraded to create more space for the young people with autism who use the service.

REAL Estate Investment Partnerships have exchanged contracts on the purchase of Alexandra House, Ashley Road, Altrincham in Cheshire.

 he building is situated in the heart of The Downs conservation area, 500 metres from Altrincham Metrolink Station and is a five minute walk to Hale train station.

The 0.88 acre development was previously operated as a YWCA and then by Great Places Housing Group to provide accommodation for homeless people. It has been sold to Real Estate after the building was deemed surplus to requirements by Great Places and it had become a target for vandals.

A TRIO of lettings at the new-look Liverpool Innovation Park has been secured by CBRE’s office in the city.

The deals come as the property company continues to work with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to ensure the park’s long-term success.

Redbridge Product & Flowers has expanded significantly, taking 5,000sq ft of offices on a 10-year lease. Jonathan Ford & Co has doubled its office space from 500 to 1,000sq ft and have committed to the site for a further three years, whilst Hyperion Executive Search has also doubled its offices and committed to a new lease.
