Duo are Tangerine’s dream ticket

MANCHESTER public relations firm Tanerine has teamed up with two of the UK’s top boxers – lightweight Anthony Crolla and middleweight Callum Smith ahead of their career-making fights this summer.

The integrated communications consultancy has been appointed by world renown boxing trainer Joe Gallagher to help raise Crolla and Smith’s profiles and manage their ongoing media commitments in and outside of the ring.

Crolla has the biggest fight of his boxing career on the July 18 when fights for the WBA World Lightweight Championship at the Manchester Arena, against Darleys Perez.

It is only six months ago that Crolla was told there was a possibility that he’d never box again following a brutal attack by burglars at his Manchester home.

But after recovering from a fractured skull and broken ankle, he will take to the ring in front of a home crowd in the city.

Smith, another huge talent to come out of the famous Smith family of boxers from Liverpool, will also go head to head against Christopher Rebrasse at the Echo Arena on Friday June 26.

Managing director of Tangerine PR’s consumer team, Mary Harding, said: “After working with top sporting star, Amir Khan over past few years we couldn’t be happier to recruit two more of the biggest names in British boxing to our talent management portfolio.

“Anthony and Callum have the potential to be real superstars on the world sporting scene – not only are they extremely talented within the ring, but they have the likability factor, which so important. It really is great to be on board with Joe and the team ahead of a very exciting year.”
