Land sale clears way for VW showroom

AN Inchape Volkswagen showroom is set to be built on a 4.5 acres of land at The Green in Bury.

The site has planning permission for a new two-storey showroom, workshops and office complex.

The land was sold to Inchape by Property Alliance Group. Development director Lee Charnley said: “This sale will result in the complete redevelopment of this former manufacturing site and once completed, the showroom will complement the offices, warehouse and laboratories we have already delivered.

“This is an excellent transaction for both Property Alliance Group and Bury and will provide a state of the art Volkswagen showroom on a prominent town centre site.”
