TheBusinessDesk’s flying start

THEBUSINESSDESK.COM has got off to a flying start in the North West and now has more than 3,100 registered users just three months after its launch.

Growing numbers of the region’s business leaders, executives and professionals now turn to TheBusinessDesk.com for their daily update of North West business news.

TheBusinessDesk.com became the first free regional online business news service in the UK when it launched in Yorkshire a year ago.

Uniquely users can choose to receive daily e-mail or text alerts, which arrive before 9am every working day, direct to their desktop and the service is fully
compatible with mobile phone, PDA devices and BlackBerry.

TheBusinessDesk.com was launched in Yorkshire in November 2007 by former Yorkshire Post business editor David Parkin with the backing of a number of entrepreneurs and Yorkshire Bank. The site there has more than 10,000 registered users. 

The North West team is led by Chris Barry, the former business editor of the Manchester Evening News.
