FK Group launches in Middle East
BUILDING firm FK Group, which has its headquarters in Altrincham, is taking its expansion overseas with the launch of an office in Dubai.
Led by FK director Tony Cornwell, FK International has already secured its first project in the UAE region from main contractor McLaren Construction.
Mr Cornwell said: “I am thrilled to be leading our new venture in Dubai and we’re very excited about the opportunities in this region.
“Several of our UK partners have a presence in the UAE, and we are looking forward to working with them, continuing to drive industry best practice and innovation, as we do in the UK.”
As well as Altrincham, FK Group has four other offices covering the UK including Birmingham, Doncaster, London and Romford in Essex .
Recent completed projects that FK Group has worked on include the Manchester City Football Academy, IDI Gazeley’s Waitrose distribution centre at Magna Park and the Turnmill building in central London for Mclaren Construction Group.
Francis Keenan, managing director, FK Group said: “FK is continuing to grow within the building envelope sector and the UAE was the next logical step for us as we have strong relationships with our partners who have a presence there.
“The fact that we have picked up a project in our first few weeks of operating illustrates a demand for our services and expertise. We believe there are significant opportunities for both FK and our partners across the region.”
