Supermarket listings boost Faith in Nature

BURY-based natural beauty products manufacturer Faith in Nature has seen its sales grow 6% over the year to £3.3m but the addition of new lines with Ocado will see that growth accelerate by 16% over the coming year.
Faith products include beauty and skin care ranges, and a household cleaning range, which use ingredients that are vegetable based and animal-cruelty free. The company has introduced a number of new ranges in the last year including anti-dandruff shampoos, a men’s range and Faithful Friend, a range of natural shampoos with organic oils for dogs.
The company, which employs around 40 staff, already has a loyal following in the independent health food sector, but is becoming increasingly well known on the high street with new customers introduced to the brand via retailers such as Holland & Barrett, Asda and Tesco Direct.
A year on from securing a listing with Ocado for its natural Humphrey’s Corner baby bath time range, the company has  secured listings for an additional 54 lines and Faith in Nature’s products have been transferred to Ocado’s main fulfilment depots; facilities reserved only for the online retailer’s fastest selling items.

As well as the Humphrey’s Corner range, Ocado now stocks many of Faith in Nature’s shampoos, conditioners, hand washes, shower gels and skincare products.
Exports remain a focus for the business and last year accounted for 20% of sales.

Rivka Rose, who founded the  company in 1974, said: “More and more people are seeking natural and organic products as well as brands with strong green credentials.

“Our mission has always been to produce naturally beautiful products, without harming the environment. What’s more, we offer these products at cost-effective prices so it’s a win win for the consumer and us.”
