Hair today ‘will not be gone tomorrow’
THE doctor-owner of a Manchester anti-ageing clinic has introduced a new cutting edge treatement which helps men and women maintain a head of thick hair.
Dr Carlos Xavier – owner of Natura Anti-Ageing Clinic – will be one of the first medical professionals in the country to introduce the treatment at his Northern Quarter-based clinic.
The clinic on Thomas Street will offer patients the Platelet Rich Plasma therapy, a highly effective treatment which Dr Xavier says is proven to combat hair loss by improving the thickness and coverage of hair where signs of thinning are showing.
Known to have a stimulating effect on the growth processes of cells, the treatment involves injecting an important combination of components from the patient’s own blood into their scalp under local anaesthesia that will encourage hair growth.
A non-surgical procedure that offers long-lasting effects, the process takes little time and patients can go home immediately afterwards.
Once the area has healed, patients can also use topical creams provided by the Natura team, containing effective hormones and antioxidants to further stimulate the hair follicles.
