Claims company launches new division

A PROPERTY claims validation specialist based in Bolton has launched a new division after taking growing turnover from £800,000 to £7.9m in five years and now employing 51 people.

Building Validation Solutions has opened BVS Subsidence, which aims to introduce a change in the way subsidence claims are handled.

The company founded in 2010 has now employed subsidence expert Giles Carter – with 20 years’ experience in the field – to lead the news division.

Carter said: “The approach to subsidence claims has been unchanged for the past 20 years.

“Many insurers are nervous of the potential complexity and high costs often perceived to be associated with subsidence claims.

“Our approach focuses on the core values of innovation, support and transparency to deliver a solution that is simple, effective and reduces costs for both insurers and most importantly their customers”

Carter said BVS Subsidence’s bespoke claims management system Metrix – which was developed in Bolton by sister company PJ Web – coupled with its innovative approach to subsidence claims, will change the industry, increasing customer satisfaction levels, reducing the times incurred by 30% and enabling cost savings of up to 60%.”

BVS managing director Chris Brown added: “This is an exciting time for BVS.  Our new subsidence division, and the growth of BVS and PJ Web have enabled us to achieve huge growth over the past five years.

“The technology and systems we have designed, are leading the way in the claims validation market and we aim to do the same with subsidence claims.  Our client base includes a number of the Top 10 UK insurance companies.

“With the launch of BVS Subsidence and our plans for other divisions we aim to grow the business by a further 20% over the next 12 months.”
