Contractor’s £3m project close to Anfield home

LIVERPOOL-based Frank Rogers, has been awarded a £3m contract from Your Housing Group in its own Anfield home as part of a wide scale regeneration programme in the area.
Under the contract, works will include kitchen and bathroom replacements alongside general improvement works, all of which will to be completed over a two year period, forming part of the initial stages of the ambitious project, which is set to transform the inner city area.
Frank Rogers was launched some 40 years ago by its name sake founder from the firm’s Anfield base and has continued to operate its head office from Larkhill Lane.
Many of its directly employed staff live in or around the Anfield are, some of whom will be working on site at the project, within the heart of their own communities.
Manager director Dean Rogers said: “Of course we’re all incredibly pleased to be involved in this scheme as it’s very close to our hearts.
“Our links with Anfield go back some 40 years and to be chosen as a contractor that is set to make a significant difference to this area is fantastic.
“We’ve come a long way in that time and we now have the resources, experience and skills in place to deliver larger projects on this scale and beyond. We’re also the first Liverpool contractor to be appointed which is a definite coup for Frank Rogers.”
Your Housing Group has already delivered more than 200 new and refurbished homes in the Anfield area in an investment programme worth more than £25m.
It owns and manages more than 850 homes in the Anfield/Breckfield area in total.
A further investment of some £16m-plus is anticipated in coming years.
The organisation is also responsible for supporting a range of community groups and projects in the area.
Mark Gormley, group director of Asset at Your Housing Group added: “We look forward to working with Frank Rogers, it is invaluable to us to work with a company who has such strong links to the area. Anfield is hugely important to us as a housing provider and our next phase of significant investment proves this.”
