Accountant sets target of £10m turnover

MANCHESTER accountant and independent financial adviser Sedulo is on course to top £10m revenue in 2016.

Founded in 2009 as a firm of management accountants, the company now has services across, accountancy, taxation, corporate finance, wealth management and payroll services.

The company now employs almost 30 people including eight apprenticeship trainees.

During 2015 the business enhanced its payroll services department by also providing payroll to contractors through construction companies and recruitment agencies, resulting in the uplift in turnover.

The core business of ‘hands-on’ accountancy, tax and business advice has grew by 20% and the wealth management side by close to 200% during 2015.

Acquisitions are now on the agenda with core business is expected to grow further in 2016.

Managing director Paul Cheetham said: “We have always had a culture of a dynamic business, the fact that we offer financial and business advisory services doesn’t mean it has to be done in a traditional way.

“We are very hands on with our clients and because our clients tend to be in fashion, media and digital sector they require the advice delivered in a contemporary fashion.

“We provide the staff with a great place to work, whether this be team-building events, daily baked cakes, daily fresh fruit or our legendary overseas Christmas parties it all adds to the fun in the business which means we can recruit the best staff in the various disciplines.

“This is just the start for us, we are not seven years old yet and 2016 sees a new exciting location for the company to take our business forward for the next 10 years.”
