CREATIVE studio NoChintz has completed designs for the £1.5m Banyan restaurant and bar at the redeveloped Corn Exchange in Manchester.

The success of the project has led Banyan owner, Leeds-based bar and restaurant operator Arc Inspirations, to appoint Manchester’s NoChintz on two further Banyan venues in Leeds and Harrogate.

The company has also been appointed as design partner on Arc’s exciting new Kith and Kin bars, which will see NoChintz develop work on the brand’s maiden site in Leeds.

NoChintz associate director Amy Brown said: “We are thrilled to expand on our relationship with Arc and take on these fantastic new projects.

THE largest markets operator in Europe has appointed  SKV Communications to raise its corporate profile.

With its UK headquarters in Merseyside, Groupe Geraud runs more than 1,200 regular market days each year in this country in partnership with local authorities, BID teams and institutional landlords.
 
Manchester-based SKV will help Groupe Geraud to communicate its expertise to local authorities and private property owners seeking to add value to its locations by increasing footfall, animation and commerce.

CREATIVE communications group Beattie is to move into a new office in Manchester city centre.

The penthouse office at Woolwich House, 61 Mosley Street, which is three times the size of its existing office in Piccadilly, comes complete with a large meeting room, reception area and outdoor roof terrace.  

Siobhan Chesher, head of the Manchester office, said: “The last 12 months were the most successful of the last decade for the Beattie team in Manchester.”

With fees under management of £16m, the Beattie team will move into their new office later this month.

With its HQ in London, Beattie is the one of the UK’s largest independent marketing and communications consultancies, incorporating media and stakeholder relations, social media and digital marketing services.

It has eight offices across the UK including, Leeds, Birmingham, London and Glasgow.

Its specialist teams cover 14 industry sectors including retail, property, travel and food.

MANCHESTER-based creative agency Truth has completed the branding for Albert’s Schloss, the city’s new £2m bar.

The agency was tasked with developing the brand experience and visual language for the venue, which extends to signage, menus, promotional material and house schnapps bottles.

Neil Macleod Revolution bar founder and Albert’s Schloss part owner said: “The name Albert’s Schloss was inspired by Schloss Rosenua in Saxe Coburg, the birthplace of Prince Albert who is commemorated by the Albert Memorial in the city and we wanted our brand to reflect our concept.”

Darren Scott founder and creative partner of Truth said: “The Albert’s Schloss branding has been created to capture the bar’s theatrical bohemian style in a contemporary fashion.”

MANCHESTER-based web design and digital marketing agency Evolutia is warning colleges across the North West that they are falling too far behind their own students when it comes to adopting new web technology.

The agency has reviewed the web presence of 20 large colleges from across Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire and Lancashire and identified common areas for improvement including speed and responsiveness on mobile devices.

DISCOUNT department store TJ Hughes is set to become the home of savvy shopping with a new TV ad developed by Cheshire-based integrated agency, Oakbase.

Debuting last week, TJ’s Savvy campaign is the Liverpool-based retailer’s first TV ad release in eight years.

The 30 second commercial will run until December and covers ten of TJ Hughes’ 16 stores in its key retail regions of Granada and Tyne Tees.
